Knee Jerk Prescription Writing/Medicine--The Changing Face of Medicine--Dr. Rama

Whether in Medicine, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Ob-gyn and so on---Medicine is becoming seemingly more and more "cook-book--ish"---There are more charts, formulas electronic info that points in the direction of the usual treatments for various ailments

While there is a "standard of care" and so on, I am noticing more and more that the moment someone comes in, one can almost predict the medicines they will be on to a larger and larger percent.

The basic hypertension, diabetes, asthma, high cholesterol, and heart meds all seem to fall in line with each person. 

What does this mean?  I just wonder whether physicians and the whole medical community are programmed by school, pharmaceutical companies and so on to just go on one track or two and then sort of go down an assembly line as people come in with their laundry list of signs and symptoms.

This is not to say there are important protocols and so on.

But it just seems that sometimes medications are sometimes mechanically written to fit what people are complaining about and clinics in all specialties are becoming more tense, frenzied and frenetic to handle larger and larger volumes of patients with shrinking reimbursements while managed care upper management fills their bank accounts with enormous salaries and bonuses......

Ever see lists of patients medicines?  The lists are getting longer and longer and longer....I am sure drug companies are happy---Are some of these meds needed and necessary? Of course ---but is there too much of a knee jerk response to 'have to" prescribe something----?

You have a set of problems and illnesses and you will see the same standard medicines ---all in a row---

So I just wonder --when will we wake up to the creativity and vision (and of course the capital funding)---to truly and deeply incorporate ancient treatment methods and knowledge to Medicine, health Spirituality and Medicine?  We need manifestation not just ideas and lectures ---in the early part of this 21st century to change the paradigm of health and healing globally.

While this is happening now, we are scratching the surface.  There is so much information hidden from modern medicine on how consciousness and the life force affects the body and how lack of balance of such forces creates health problems or disease.

There are so many tenets and precepts and natural means to affect change and cure.  Much of it is to help with chronic ailments that our cook-book medicine does not address.

I hope the time is coming soon for such models to really manifest on this planet----

Dumped on Facebook ---What is the World Coming To?

Recently in a session someone told me they were dumped on Facebook.  She and the guy were dating for a few years.  Yes they were having general issues but suddenly she did not see him much and then not at all.  She left him voice mails but no answer.  She looked on Face Book and there was her answer!  The guy's profile deleted her and in her place was the classical things from Facebook----" So and So"---now in a relationship with  "So and So...."  No mention of the previous gal.  All photos deleted and suddenly new photos of him and the new girlfriend.

Folks--what is this world coming to?  Are we electronotons?  Do we now not even have the decency to let the person know face to face?  Are so not able to share our feelings that we resort to these things?

It is worth contemplating.  Does this gal not deserve at least a parting or farewell in person?  Some closure, something after three years?

This is not to say this does not go on all the time.  People abandon people and they never hear from them again.  Yet Facebook is public----to some degree or at least to your friends or friends of friends.

Another thing that happens is that people say they are "in a relationship with....." and then suddenly those pictures and statements are dropped for a week or two or more by both or one---and then one or both put them back up!    Guess it is a kind of Facebook feud---...

Wonder what the world of cyberspace will do next with age old human drama??.
